Fire dampers sit hidden inside ductwork until the day they are needed. We find them, test them and keep them working — with the records to prove it.

What we do

  • Asset registers — locating and recording every damper, so nothing is missed.
  • Drop testing — physically releasing each damper to confirm it closes.
  • Remedial works — repairing or replacing dampers that fail.
  • Certification — full reports and compliance documentation.

Installation assessment

Beyond the drop test, we assess every aspect of the damper installation, including:

  • Damper condition — checking for corrosion, damage and debris.
  • Fixings — confirming the damper is correctly and securely fixed.
  • Fire stopping — inspecting the surrounding fire-stopping and penetration seals.
  • Independent support — confirming the damper is independently supported where required.

Standards

Our damper inspection and testing is carried out in line with BS 9999:2017 and HTM 03-01, with testing at intervals not exceeding 12 months.
