A compartmentation survey checks that your building is divided into the fire-resisting compartments your fire strategy relies on — and that each one still holds the fire rating it was designed for, containing a fire for the specified period.
What we check
- Compartment lines — walls and floors that should resist fire for a set period, surveyed against your building's fire strategy.
- Fire-stopping — service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors, checked for tested, certified seals.
- Breaches and defects — gaps, missing barriers and unsealed penetrations located and logged with photographic evidence.
- Prioritised reporting — a clear schedule of findings and remedials that feeds the golden thread.
Standards & accreditation
Our compartmentation and passive fire protection work is third-party accredited to IFC standards, aligned with the golden-thread principle of the Building Safety Act 2022.
Survey, then put it right
Because we also firestop and document, the team that finds a defect can close it out — one accountable contractor, with a clear audit trail from survey to certification.
