A compartmentation survey checks that your building is still divided into the fire-resisting compartments your fire strategy relies on — and that each one holds the fire rating it was designed for. We survey, inspect and report, giving you a clear, prioritised picture of exactly where your compartmentation stands.
What we check
- Compartment lines — walls and floors that should resist fire for a set period, surveyed against your building's fire strategy.
- Service penetrations — the points where pipes, cables and ducts pass through fire-rated construction, checked for tested, certified seals.
- Breaches and defects — gaps, missing barriers and unsealed penetrations located and logged with photographic evidence.
- Prioritised reporting — a clear schedule of findings and recommended remedials that feeds the golden thread.
Standards & accreditation
Our compartmentation surveys are carried out to IFC-accredited standards, aligned with the golden-thread principle of the Building Safety Act 2022.
From survey to fix
A survey is only useful once the defects are closed out. Our Fire Stopping team can carry out the remedial works and certification — so the same accountable contractor takes you from finding to fix, with a clear audit trail throughout.
