Local coverage
We have engineers based to cover Cardiff and South Wales directly, so the capital and the surrounding region are served from within Wales rather than across the border.
We regularly work across Cardiff and South Wales, including Newport, Barry, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Pontypridd and Penarth.
Why Cardiff buildings need fire damper testing
As the Welsh capital, Cardiff carries a concentrated public-sector and institutional estate — major NHS sites, government and university buildings, and large sports, conference and leisure venues — alongside a modern city-centre and bay commercial core. These are exactly the mechanically-ventilated, heavily-occupied buildings where documented fire damper testing matters most, and where ductwork tends to be extensive and access tightly controlled around operational use.
Proven in Cardiff
We hold a fire damper surveying contract with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board — a matter of public record via the UK government's Find a Tender service.
How the testing works
Wherever the building is, the method is the same: we locate and register every fire damper, physically drop-test each one to confirm it closes, repair or replace any that fail, and issue full certification — in line with BS 9999:2017 and HTM 03-01, at intervals not exceeding 12 months. For the full detail on drop testing, standards and remedial works, see our fire damper testing service.
Common questions
Do you cover South Wales, or just Cardiff?
Both — Newport, Barry, Bridgend and the wider South Wales area are covered from the same regional base.
Can you work on live NHS and public-sector sites?
Yes — our Cardiff work includes healthcare estates, where testing is planned around clinical operation with full HTM 03-01 documentation.
